Romania’s Bucharest Railway Co Manager Sacked

The head of the Bucharest division of state-owned railway company CFR, Gavrila Manaila, has been sacked Saturday for defective management, the company said in a statement. His attributions will be taken over by Laurentiu Maraloi. The company said Manaila has been sacked over the mismanagement of maintenance and repair works on railway tracks in Bucharest's biggest train station, Gara de Nord, and for failing to ensure regular passenger rail traffic over this weekend.
