FinMin official: Romania has no problems with reporting to Eurostat

Romania has no problems with reporting to Eurostat with respect to the 2010 budget deficit, State Secretary at the Public Finances Ministry Gheorghe Gherghina told a news conference on Tuesday.

“The budget deficit at this moment does not exceed the 200 million lei cap set with the European Commission for the budget deficit calculation by the two systems, namely the financial and non-financial account methods.

The data regarding the financial accounts for the deficit calculation are verified by the BNR, and the non-financial ones by the INS. At present we have no problem, because in our reports we also introduced the losses made by state companies CFR Infrastructure and Termoelectrica”, Gherghina stressed.
