Romanian Railway Workers Stopped Trains For Two-Hour Warning Strike

Romanian railway workers ceased work for two hours Wednesday morning and all trains en route have been stopped in stations or on the way. Trains are halted between 7 and 9 a.m. as unionists and railway company representatives failed to find common ground on signing new collective work contracts. The seven-hour negotiations held Tuesday failed to convince railway unionists to give up their plan to stage a warning strike, said union federation leader Gheorghe Fratica. Read more on Mediafax.ro
