Romanian family doctors on Friday decided to end protests over the frame-contract on public healthcare for 2011-2012, the Health Ministry said in a press release.

Family doctor representatives told Health Minister Attila Cseke that starting Tuesday patients will be able to obtain discounted medicine and specialist appointments.

Family doctor representatives said Thursday physicians decided to submit the documents required to sign the new public healthcare contract, to show they are willing to end the conflict with health insurance houses.
