Romania will allocate 2.1 million euros to the Danube Floodrisk project providing an updated database aimed at supporting the flood prevention to the floodable areas along the Danube’s banks, data collector the Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development (INCDD) informs in a press release.
It will be collected hydrological, social and economic data, which are to contribute to drawing an efficient flood risk map of the Danube River floodplain areas, and which are to be part in the Danube Floodrisk project – Flood risk assessments for every users of the Danube’s floodable meadow, coordinated by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MMP), over 2009-2012.
