Medas has plans for 5m-euro hospital in Piaţa Victoriei

Medical services operator Medas is investing over 5 million euros in a hospital in the Piaţa Victoriei area of Bucharest, with the facility to open at the end of 2011.

"The hospital will be designed for surgical specialties and will have 40 beds," said Nicoleta Claudia Manu, deputy general manager of Medas. The facility will employ 50 to 100 (contract workers included) people, with the company currently having over 400 employees. The Medas hospital is not the first to be announced in the area.
