Health ministry budget to increase in 2011 from 3.9% to 5% of GDP

Specialized Parliamentary Committees approved on Thursday, by unanimity the increase of the Health ministry budget to 5% of GDP and accepted all 128 amendments proposed by Senators and Deputies.

The 5% percent was a compromise between the PSD proposals of 4% of GDP and Independent Tudor Chiuhodaru of 8% of GDP and Liberal Horia Cristian's 5%. In 2010, the budget of the Health Ministry was 3.9%.
