Head of first private hospital in Romania leaves for NGO

Cătălin Popa, 39, head of the first private hospital in Romania - Euroclinic - has left the helm of the company after five years, being appointed National Director of World Vision Romania, an NGO involved in healthcare projects. His move was somewhat to be expected, considering that last year medical services operator Centrul Medical Unirea, held by Advent investment fund, bought Euroclinic, a business that posted around 10 million euros in 2010. Together, the two companies have over 30 million euros in turnover on a private medical services market worth 400 million euros per year. Read more on ZF.ro
