Finance Ministry's move to tax big fortunes targets 1-2% of taxpayers

Taxation of big fortunes will target 1-2% of taxpayers, with the target group including people with big fortunes or big spending who did not declare their incomes, according to Finance Minister Gheorghe Ialomiţianu. The National Fiscal Administration Agency (ANAF) is to set up several departments that will run checks on people with high incomes or with big spending. "The experience of other countries tells us that our target amounts to 1-2% of the total. The dedicated ANAF departments will include 30-40 people.
