EP received the request to lift immunity of MEP Adrian Severin

European Parliament’s Vice President Gianni Pittella announced in the Parliament that he received the request of the Romanian Justice ministry to lift immunity of Romanian MEP Adrian Severin. The request will be forwarded to the Judicial Affairs Committee. The Committee will name a delegate for the case and will discuss the issue behind closed doors. MEP Adrian Severin has a chance to make his point and if necessary the Committee can request supplementary documents or other information from the Romanian authorities, EP informs.
