The Government will meet on Friday in its first meeting this year, going to discuss the state budget for 2013 and the impending visit to Romania of the International Monetary Fund delegation.

Premier Victor Ponta asked ministers in the last cabinet meeting, held in 2012, to get prepared for the budget debates in the first meeting of 2013, given that the delegation of the International Monetary Fund is expected to come to Bucharest on January 15.

“For the first Government meeting in 2013 we will meet prepared for the budget, for the IMF. (…) I hope that Finances and those who draft the budget are very advanced and this means that, until the IMF delegation comes, everyone must work to have the budget ready”, said the Premier in the Executive’s meeting of December 27.

He stressed that all ministers must be prepared for discussions with the international partners, as well as for the debates in Parliament.
