Topolog and Casimcea, likely wind energy stars in 2011

Valea Dacilor, Topolog, Casimcea, Dăieni or Valea Nucarilor are just a few of Dobrogea communes standing a chance to become real stars this year as international players are coming up with over 2bn euros to build around 450 windmills. Whereas last year the hottest spot in Romania for wind farm investments was Fântânele commune, in 2011 several regions of Moldova are also emerging besides the Dobrogea villages. Transelectrica data show investments of around 760m euros were operated in 2010 to install the 424 MW in wind farms, a significant sum given the economic background of the past two years.
