Presidential adviser and former EU commissioner Leonard Orban has the ruling coalition’s approval to be appointed minister for the Coordination of European Fund Absorption, people close to the matter told Mediafax Tuesday.
Orban attended the coalition's meeting on Tuesday and had a meeting on the issue with Prime Minister Emil Boc Monday.
Romania will set up a Ministry for European Funds in October and the minister will most likely be former EU commissioner Leonard Orban, Development and Tourism Minister Elena Udrea said last week.
