Romanian Lawmakers Start Debates On No-Confidence Motion Over 2011 Wage Law

Romanian lawmakers on Monday started debates on the no-confidence motion over the wage law for 2011, submitted in parliament by opposition liberals and social democrats last week, after Prime Minister Emil Boc sought a confidence vote to pass the bill into legislation. The opposition's no-confidence motion was read in Parliament on Thursday. Earlier Monday, lawmakers read a second no-confidence motion submitted by the opposition over the public sector unitary wage law, which will be debated in Parliament Thursday morning.
