Romania’s Government will decide whether to lower or keep child rearing benefits unchanged after consultations with lawmakers of the ruling coalition parties Monday, people close to the matter told Mediafax.

The sources said coalition leaders made no decision Monday morning during talks that were also attended by President Traian Basescu. "It has been agreed that a final decision is to be made after consultations with the coalition's parliamentary groups," the sources said.
