Romanian Cernavoda Nuclear Reactor Back Up After Repairs

Romanian state-owned energy producer Nuclearelectrica restarted the second reactor at its power plant in Cernavoda which was shut down Friday due to a malfunction in its fuel supply system.

The reactor was brought back online on Sunday, without any incidents, Nuclearelectrica said in a statement.

Cernavoda currently operates two reactors of 700 megawatts power each and covers around 18% of Romania's electricity production.
