Chairman of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Crin Antonescu on Thursday, from the stage of the rally organized by the opposition Social Liberal Union (USL), told President Traian Basescu, Premier Emil Boc and the Democrat Liberals to give up power and made it clear that the opposition would make no compromise.

“They are lying to all of us that one cannot hold early elections and that it takes three months. I am telling them today, together with my colleagues, on behalf of the political opposition: ‘Tomorrow the USL parliamentarians hand in their resignations together with the parliamentarians of the current power and we have early elections.

” If they accept early elections, let them come and hand in their resignations together with us and then we have early elections in 90 days at the most, but it can also happen in 30 and 45 days too,” said Crin Antonescu and the crowd chanted “Early elections.”
