Over 7,000 Romanians Protest Over Govt’s Social Policy

Over 7,000 Romanians protest Tuesday in Mioveni, southern Romania, over changes to the country’s labor code and collective work contracts, as well as over high fuel prices. The protest is organized by the union with Romanian carmaker Automobile Dacia. Union representatives said employees of other companies operating in the auto industry, as well as unionists in the administration, education and health sectors are also expected to join the protest.
