National Arena, the largest stadium in Romania, ready to host Europa League final
Romanian capital city Bucharest hosts on Wednesday the final of the Europa League football cup at the National Arena, a match between the Spanish teams Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, kick-off at 9:45 PM (8:45 PM in Spain and 7:45 GMT).
The National Arena is the largest football stadium in Bucharest and in Romania, included by the Union of the European Football Associations (UEFA) in the fourth category (elite), and where the matches of the national football team are held along with the Romanian Cup final and the Romanian Super Cup, among others.
The National Arena was built on the site of the former national stadium “23 August/Lia Manoliu.”
