Energy group Enel, which, through the privatisations that it won, became the biggest private distributor of electricity in Romania, says it plans to invest 500 million euros from 2011 through 2015 to install a capacity of 400 MW in wind farms.
So, in five years Enel will be the owner of a 200-turbine farm, which will be able to supply around 365,000 homes with green energy.
"We are growing very fast on this segment. We already have 64 MW installed and we plan to install 400 MW from 2011 through 2015. This entails around 500 million euros in investments," said Francesco Starace, CEO of the renewable energy division of the Italian group.
