Germany considers that Romania is yet to achieve a European level in justice and home affairs areas

Germany will sustain Romania and Bulgaria’s accession to the Schengen space, but believes that in justice and home affairs fields it has not reached a European level, according to a press release of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIRG).

The German Ambassador in Bucharest, HE Andreas von Mettenheim, attended the New Year Reception of CCIRG, where he spoke about Romania’s accession to the Schengen space, supported by Germany without reservation. Of course that business and investment climate should be improved, but also the legal system. Germany is in dialogue with the Romanian Government in solving these problems, the release noted.
