Ponta: Romania has clear, firm position alongside EU, US of support for Ukraine

Romania has a clear and very firm position, alongside the European Union and the United States of America of support for Ukraine, as the situation of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict is building up instead of settling, Prime Minister Victor Ponta said during a visit to this eastern Romanian Danube River port city on Friday.

Ponta said he had spoken to Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean and ‘has found with great concern that as regards Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the situation is building up instead of reaching a settlement and Romania has a clear and very firm position, alongside the European Union and the United States of support for Ukraine and of firm reaction to the aggression which is going on. The foreign policy goal of support for the Republic of Moldova’s European integration, all the other things go on as normal’, he stressed.
