ForMin Teodor Baconschi to visit Israel and Palestinian National Authority

Romanian Foreign Minister Baconschi will pay a visit to Israel on February 28; a visit to the Palestinian National Authority is on Baconschi’s agenda on March 1, informed Foreign Ministry spokesperson Doris Mircea. The visit to the State of Israel takes place at the initiative of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman. The Romanian chief diplomat will be received by President of Israel, Shimon Peres, and will hold talks with his Israeli counterpart, as well as with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, chairman of the Knesset Foreign Policy Committee Shaul Mofaz, and the with opposition leader Tzipi Livni.
