Atletico Madrid won the Europa League final after beating Athletic Bilbao, 3-0 (2-0), on Wednesday night on the National Arena in Bucharest.

Colombian Radamel Falcao (7, 34) and Brazilian Diego (85) scored the goals that made Atletico Madrid win the second Europe League trophy in three years. Falcao managed to have the unique performance of winning the competition two years in a row, with different teams, after he defeated FC Porto in 2011.

Michel Platini, UEFA president, Vicente del Bosque, coach of the national team of Spain, which is the world champion, and president of the Spanish Federation Angel Maria Villar, who is also UEFA vice-president, watched the match, among others.
