Conclusion that Romanian PM wants a European Council on accession to Schengen is incorrect

The conclusion according to which Prime Minister Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu wishes a meeting of the European Council where to discuss Romania’s accession to the Schengen Space is incorrect, the Romanian Government Press Office informs in a press release. Prime Minister Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu stressed, on Wednesday, during a meeting with the foreign press accredited to Bucharest, that the discussion about Romania’s accession to Schengen should be carried out in a wider political context, of the rise of parties that promote anti-European policies – the Government pointed out in its clarifying statement.
