Bucharest Mayor To Meet With Chinese Investors In Beijing

Bucharest Mayor Sorin Oprescu will make an official visit to Beijing, where he hopes to find investors for the city's projects, after the city councilors voted to slash the budget by over 1 billion lei (EUR1=RON4.2108). The mayor of Bucharest will be in Beijing from Wednesday to Friday, at the invitation of his counterpart, Guo Jinlong. The visit is part of the process to implement the twinning agreement signed in 2005 between Bucharest and Beijing. Oprescu will then travel to Shanghai and negotiate a series of collaborations.
