Bucharest Heating Price Raised To RON169.88/Gcal As Of August 1

The price of heating in Bucharest has been raised to 169.88 lei/Gcal (including VAT), from RON124/Gcal as of August 1, according to a decision of the City Council. The local heating price had been unchanged since October 2007, when the level of RON100/Gcal (without VAT) was approved. When the VAT was raised to 24%, the price increased to RON124 from RON119. The decision also says heating will be billed in equal installments across a calendar year. Read more on Mediafax.ro
