About 500-600 Bucharesters were involved in the protest in the University Square on Friday evening, for the eighth day in a row. On the esplanade outside the National Theatre there are about 450-500 protesters, many of them are pensioners, elderly people or teachers, members of the trade union federations in education, and on the other side of the Square, in front of the well outside the Architecture Faculty, there are another 100 protesters, most of them being quite young.

In a drizzling rain, which started in the evening, people in distinct groups talk among themselves, blow their trumpets and whistles, show banners or placards reading most varied slogans or claims: “Indifference and robbery rule Romania,” “There is gold in our mountains, we go begging from door to door,” “We want early elections,” “Provisional government,” “Do no longer stay at home, what do you care?”.
