2012 Summer Olympics: Romanian flag is hoisted at Olympic Village

During the traditional Olympics flag-rising ceremony, in the accords of Romania’s national anthem, Romania’s flag has been unfurled in the International Area of the Olympic Village in London, on Wednesday, in the presence of the Romanian delegation made up of sportspeople and officials of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (COSR).

During the ceremony, along with the Olympic Flag and Anthem, there were also raised the national flags of other countries like Congo, Zambia and Porto Rico. The ceremony was part in a dance show accompanied by rock and medieval music conducted by a Stewart who addressed the participants a message of friendship and wished them their Olympic Games dreams may come true. Flag-rising ceremonies for the countries vying in the 2012 Summer Olympics have happened every half an hour, on Wednesday.
