State’s Proprietatea Fund ownership might dip almost 6 pct this year

The Romanian state’s ownership in Proprietatea Fund (PF) might go down by nearly 6 pct until the end of 2011 from the current 39 pct to 33 pct, Greg Konieczny, Templeton Emerging Markets Group deputy executive chairman and Proprietatea Fund (PF) portfolio manager told a press conference on Monday. “The state’s Proprietatea Fund stake might go down below 33 pct by the end of this year from almost 39 pct in December 2010, as compensation disbursements to property owners abusively dispossessed by the communist regime carry on,” Konieczny said.
