Solution to unlock 84 million euro from the EU for broadband internet in poor areas in Romania, to be presented to the EC next week

Romanian authorities will present, next week, on February 23rd to the European Commission the model proposed to use 84 million euro of EU funds to develop an internet broadband solutin in poor areas of the country, Communications Ministry officials declared for Hotnews.ro.

EC blocked the allocation of the funds to Romania, initially targetd for areas that do not have internet broadband coverage after Romanian authorities tried to direct the money to eRomania online portal, an information exclusively presented last month by HotNews.ro.
