Government proposes ban on street advertising in historical parts of cities

Hoardings, the ones advertising elections included, are to be banned in the historical parts of cities as well as on the buildings that are declared historical monuments, by a draft law which was approved by the Government on Thursday, said Minister of Regional Development and Tourism Elena Udrea. The draft law establishes a framework from which local authorities will have to draw up their own regulations that should be at least as restrictive as the provisions adopted by the Government. According to Elena Udrea, the basic regulations ban outdoor advertising on the windows of buildings, except for meshes. Read more on Financiarul.ro
