Hungary is firmly committed to accepting Romania and Bulgaria in the Schengen area, European Voice quotes Hungarian Premier Viktor Orban as saying on Thursday morning in Budapest.

The Head of the Executive in Budapest, whose country holds the rotating Presidency of the European Union, promised to fight that Romania and Bulgaria should join the Schengen area, following the recent points of view voiced by France and Germany, according to which the two countries were not ready for accession. Viktor Orban, on Thursday, in the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest, outlined his country’s priorities during its six month Presidency of the European Union.
