State reforms to be among Romania’s priorities in 2012 too, says President Basescu

The state reforms will represent a priority in 2012 too, President Traian Basescu said at the annual meeting with the ambassadors accredited to Romania, adding that he will be an active partner of the Government in the process aimed ad adopting the measures stipulated in the agreements with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank or the European Union.

In the context, Traian Basescu said the new health care law will be completed and the process of reforming state-run companies will also be continued.

‘We still take into account the possibility of setting up a new administrative-territorial reorganization of Romania, if allowed by political environment. All these reforms represent a strong signal of stability towards the markets,’ the head of the state pointed out.
