Romanian Econ Min Seeks To Privatize Or Close Research-Development Institutes

Romania’s Economy Ministry is planning to sell or shut down several research and development institutes and will consult with local and international bodies on the matter, according to an official document obtained by Mediafax. Authorities are looking at nine state-owned research institutes and seven research and development companies, and the ministry seeks investors and EU funds to support the latter.
