Romania 3Q Net Investment Down 14.2% On Year To RON14B

Romanian net investments fell 14.2% to 14.13 billion lei (EUR1=RON4.2923) in the third quarter compared with the year-earlier period, largely due to a slowdown in construction, the country’s statistics institute INS said Friday. New construction works dropped 23.1% on the year to RON7.5 billion in the third quarter, while investments in machinery and equipment, including transport vehicles, were down 9.2% to RON5.02 billion.
