INS: Volume of construction work increases as gross series by 28.8 percent in March 2013

The volume of construction work increased as a gross series by 28.8 percent in March 2013 from February and as an adjusted series, depending on the number of working days and seasonality, it grew by 2.7 percent, informed the National Institute of Statistics (INS) in a release it senton Monday. The increase was due to the new construction work (34.1 percent), to capital repairs (23.5 percent) and to maintenance and current repairs (18.4 percent). By types of constructions, there were increases in nonresidential buildings (43.4 percent) and in engineering constructions (29.5 percent). Residential buildings saw a 0.5 percent drop. From the corresponding month of 2012 the volume of the construction work grew as a gross series by 1 percent and as an adjusted series, depending on the number of working days and seasonality, it grew by 0.5 percent.
