As many as 2,470 joint-stock companies registered in first 5 months of 2012 in Romania

As many as 2,470 joint-stock commercial companies with foreign capital were registered in Romania in the first five months of this year, the total value of the invested capital having reached 5.364 billion lei (1.227 billion euros), according to the data centralized by the National Statistics Institute. From 1991 until May 31, 2012, registered in Romania were as many 181,877 joint ventures, with an invested capital of 111.715 billion lei (33.707 billion euros). Most joint-stock companies with foreign capital were registered, in May, in Bucharest – 167 companies, with a total capital of 3.73 million lei, Timis County – 53, with a capital of 129,600 lei, Ilfov County- 46, with a capital of 1.345 million lei and Bihor County – 32, with a capital of 238,900 lei.
