Romanian MEP Adrian Severin declared on Monday night, for Romanian news agency Agerpres that following is meeting with Socialist group leader Martin Schultz he decided to resign from the group until investigations of the accusations brought by the Sunday Times British daily will clear him.

Severin said that he asked the EP President Jerzy Buzek to investigate this case and rejected all accusations released by the British daily. He said that he will fight for the truth to be revealed even though if it means to be fighting it alone.
